Roast

Postby ejuers » February 11th, 2010, 1:04 pm

Take a 64 oz container of Pace Picante sauce and dump it into a crock pot. Your choice of mild, medium, or hot. I like to use the medium, the hot was a little too much spice for me.
Add a roast and let it slow cook all day.
I also like to fix up some mashed potatoes for a side dish. I add some of the picante sauce on the potatoes, since there is left over from the roast.

This is great for meat that has a gamey taste (deer, elk, and what not). You will not be able to tell the difference when it's done.

I'm cooking some up right now, and I can't wait until dinner.

The hard part is it smells so good while it's cooking, and after a couple of hours it's hard to take it anymore. :flag_of_truce: I'm only 3 hours into it and I'm frickin hungry. I'm making one for me and one for my parents right now.
